Winterfest
Deer Park Kiwanis sponsors WinterFest, a community celebration of winter. January 2025 marked the 41 years of WinterFest, events are held at the Deer Park High School (800 S. Weber). Deer Park Kiwanis members work with community volunteers to create a community celebration with family-oriented activities all day. Starting with the Frostbite 5K Footrace, followed by the WinterFest Opening Ceremony which includes the Mayor's Proclamation, then introduction of the Honored Citizen, the winner of the Logo Design Contest and the local Royalty and concludes with the Mayor's Rock Finding contest. This is followed by many different WinterFest events: Art Show & Sale, Book Sale, Children's Activities, Outhouse Races, Snow Soccer, Volleyball, K-12 Chess Tournament, Dog Weight Pulls, Vendors/Craft Fair, and Musical Entertainment.
