Backflow Testing
What is backflow?
Backflow is the undesirable reversal flow of non potable water or other substances through a cross-connection and into the piping of a public water system.
Why does the City require backflow testing?
The City is required to ensure all backflow systems have been tested annually. Backflow into a public water system can pollute or contaminate the water, making the water in that system unusable or unsafe to drink.
